DOES ANYBODY ROOT AGAINST RUSSIAN FIGHTERS BECAUSE OF UKRAINE?

I don't - and I would speculate that very few of us are doing that.

And anyone who boos Fedor should have their MMA fan card taken away!

Rooting against a fighter because they were born in a country you don't like is dumb.

Yours is definitely the majority view.

My problem with Russian and it's not anything to do with the Ukraine but Fedor has said women should stick to gymnastics and other "girls/womens" sports. Khabib also will not bring in women for Eagle FC and has a similar stance. Obviously they don't all feel this way but man a few have said these things. 

There's a lot of sexism in sports in general. Its not really a Russia thing.

True, we saw how Dana White said he wouldn't add women to the UFC and we saw how that went. 

Meanwhile Bob Arum was actively trashing Taylor vs Serrano a couple weeks ago saying "it won't sell."

After all, he just handed my man Rashad an opportunity to snap that five-fight losing streak on a silver platter!

Gabriel Checco lost to Francisco France, who lost to Keith Jardine, who lost to Rashad (in the TUF 2 semifinals - a three-round fight).

Yet Checco was picked to beat Rashad by 76% of the resident geniuses on this site!

I just appreciate what Khabib so obviously did for Rashad.

Sports are tribal. Another reason why this isn’t a sport. In other international sports its 100% okay to boo opponents from rival countries. But in MMA it just seems weird. I find it more likely for people to root against camps/teams.

A lot of people root against Greg Jackson's fighters - calling him "Greasy Greg" and accusing him of teaching his fighters to "point-fight," above all else.

Also with Evans long layoff it was unknown how he would look. Plus he had 4 straight losses and was coming back to a heavier division. Finally if you follow Evans personal life, I think he is completely different person he was when he was champ. 

It was great to see Evans win again!
