Travis Marx is undefeated in the BW division and has recently had a fairly close fight with top-ranked Masakatsu Ueda (the last man to defeat current Bellator champ Eduardo Dantas), and pulled through as the winner in the end. Now let's look at the rankings...

Masakatsu Ueda - #16
Travis Marx - #33

Other abnormalities currently infesting our rankings:
#5 Scott Jorgensen over #6 Renan Barao despite Barao's domination of him.
#11 Zach Makovsky over #13 Eduardo Dantas despite Dantas choking him out after a strong performance
#10 Takeya Mizugaki over #16 Chris Cariaso despite losing a (close) decision to him recently

Sure the last Bellator was this past Friday, but Marx needs some love.

Here is mine, to have Marx on 3 is interesting to say the least...

Mines a bit odd, I havent edited it in a while.

But I personally dont even think Marx should be top 10, let alone 3rd.

Yeah, Marx being 3rd is just temporary for me.  In fact, by the time you see this post, they might have changed already.

After reviewing recent BW fights, I'm seeing the biggest problem is that Masakatsu Ueda (and perhaps Bellator's BW division) is overrated.

Right now I've got Travis Marx at #22 and Ueda at #24.

@sharkman I believe it's one of those cases where they were good but now there are better fighters than before.

Ueda was a proven contender.  Marx beating him gets Marx in the top 10 IMO.  I mean if Makovsky can get in the top 10 without beating anyone of note, how can you deny Marx?

Barao... Dantas... Silva... they are the new breed in their divisions... I can't wait for their next fights.

Dudu has his Bellator champion clause contract to deal with.  He won't be in the UFC for a while unless he loses that belt.

Haha yeah, he got in for beating Mizugaki as I recall.  Those last couple spots could easily go to others as far as I'm concerned.

@Kalibo - Awesome

@ladylover - I don't know the exact details but I believe the champions are contracted for a certain amount of time after which they are allowed to have a renegotiation period.  During this time they can entertain offers from other promotions, but Bellator gets a chance to match the offer before the champ can accept it.  Other than the time period, after every victory Bellator champions' contracts are extended by a certain number of fights.
