Prediction Comments (For who gets the big bonuses)

Predictions: 9 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 570 Points   |   Tied for 2829th

Pereira vs. Hill
Jamahal Hill, TKO, R1
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | Easy 300k regardless of who wins.

Zhang vs. Yan
Weili Zhang, SUB, R4
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | Fun fight, but not making 300k.

Gaethje vs. Holloway
Max Holloway, TKO, R5
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | This one is very live for 300k FOTN bonus.

Oliveira vs. Tsarukyan
Arman Tsarukyan, TKO, R2
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | Arman is gonna earn 300k, but not get it because Dana already gave it to Kayla lol.

Nickal vs. Brundage
Bo Nickal, TKO, R1
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | Bo is getting his money lol (300k almost guaranteed).

Procházka vs. Rakić
Jiří Procházka, TKO, R1
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | 300k after a brutal KO by the Shogun, he was practicing domain expansions outside of T-Mobile this morning.

Kattar vs. Sterling
Aljamain Sterling, DEC
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | Feels bad for Kattar, he's exciting af and would usually be live for the big bonus but his opponent is "La Mochila".

Holm vs. Harrison
Kayla Harrison, DEC
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | Although I don't think they'll deserve it. Someone is getting 300k here even if another fight was better.

Yusuff vs. Lopes
Sodiq Yusuff, DEC
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | Potential FOTN Bonus imo, would be nice to see both guys get 300k.

Turner vs. Moicano
Renato Moicano, SUB, R2
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | It would be awesome if Moicano got the Bonus but he probably isn't.

Andrade vs. Rodriguez
Marina Rodriguez, TKO, R3
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | Really doubt this one gets 300k, maybe if Marina gets a KO because it's WMMA.

Green vs. Miller
Jim Miller, SUB, R3
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | Don't think this one gets 300k (Unless Dana is feeling extra generous)

Figueiredo vs. Garbrandt
Deiveson Figueiredo, TKO, R2
Not digging too deep this card, just enjoying the fights... | Predicting Figgy 300k

Cody vs. Figi

Predictions: 8 of 13 Winners, 0 Perfect, 430 Points   |   Tied for 6439th

Are people trying to f**k with me on this one? Why do I keep hearing about Cody KO? Shut up. He sc****d a win against Trevin "William Knight lite" Jones and landed on Kelleher already on a 1st round losing streak. Whoopdedoo. Figi finishes half the guys Cody got finished by and beats the other by Decision. Cody looked timid beyond belief against Trevin Jones, then did a little dance against Kelleher and so now he can withstand Figi? Don't be crazy now.

Also Figgy was never knock out in his career, apart from a doc stoppage. Not saying he's immune to ever getting ko'd but I definetly believe it won't be Cody.

Pereira vs. Hill
Alex Pereira, TKO, R2
4th Lock of the Night - The Achilles is busted... Power is gone.. Hill will be a sitting duck.. His only chance is an early KO cuz Alex is coming with the leg kicks.. AND STILL!!!!

Zhang vs. Yan
Weili Zhang, SUB, R3
3rd Lock of the Night - Weili will dominate in every aspect. She will first try to prove she is the better striker, then take the fight to the ground for a submission. They may dance a bit, but Weili is aggressive. I can see this being a 5 rnd snooze fest where Weili sits on top of Yan especially if she gets in trouble early... AND STILL!!!

Holm vs. Harrison
Kayla Harrison, SUB, R1
2nd Lock of the Night - Kayla is the new star and Holm is being put out to pasture. Kayla is monstrous compared to the 42 yr old Holly and should have no problem getting this to the ground. 1st rnd Submission for the UFC's new money maker. Sets up a comeback for Amanda Nunes superfight!!

Andrade vs. Rodriguez
Marina Rodriguez, DEC
First Lock of the Night - Andrade is wild and throws looping bombs. She is also patient and will engage in a kick boxing match. Marina is going to dominate this fight from range and end up with a 29-28 unanimous decision. Look for Marina to replicate Xiaonan Yan

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 10 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 630 Points   |   Tied for 1359th

Pereira vs. Hill
Alex Pereira, TKO, R2
The 5 on in coming into this fight isn't remotely comparable. Add in Hill coming off the injury layoff and I think he has 5 minutes to nuke Poatan and win this fight. Good luck fam. I think Poatan continues to build his legendary status and beats a 5th former champion here. E ainda.

Zhang vs. Yan
Weili Zhang, SUB, R3
I genuinely think this fight is going to be closer than people think. Yan is a better fighter than Amanda Lemos IMO. With the exception of one bad performance against Esparza, she's been excellent in the UFC so far. Her TDD is better than it's being advertised and she's a very good striker. I personally think there's no question whatsoever she beat Marina Rodriguez. Yan also has a main event under her belt so this isn't her first time fighting 5 rounds. However, Weili is just on a completely different level. I do think the China vs China aspect of this fight is a weird element that's hard to analyze. There's probably a little added pressure on both sides in regards to the bragging rights that come from winning this fight. I think Yan might look good in rounds 1-2 but I see Weili eventually taking over and winning this fight 4-1 or 3-2 if she doesn't eventually find a finish. I will say however that if this fight is competitive and hits the scorecards, it could be interesting. If Yan can somehow pull this off the UFC has an absolutely massive rematch to take to China if they can ever get all the logistics figured out. On paper this is Weili all day but this also wouldn't even be in the top 3 of all time WMMA upsets if Yan pulls it off. She's a good fighter.

Gaethje vs. Holloway
Justin Gaethje, TKO, R4
I've been back and forth on this one quite a bit. Two excellent strikers with lots of time to work. Max probably has a slight speed advantage. However, I think Gaethje probably has a decent power advantage. Max might not seem as pillow fisted now that he's not cutting so much weight, but I don't think he hits hard as Gaethje. I think Max makes a good showing of himself but folds in championship rounds. I will be happy to be wrong here though because I think Max has nothing left to prove at 145. Win or lose I really hope he stays at 155.

Oliveira vs. Tsarukyan
Arman Tsarukyan, DEC
This will be similar to the Joaquim Silva fight for Arman except without the late finish. I love Chucky Olives as much as I love Jiri but I can't make the homer pick here. Tsarukyan is too good.

Nickal vs. Brundage
Bo Nickal, SUB, R1
For anyone that's not getting what's going on here, Bo Nickal is on the Logan Storley development plan. He will probably get 2 more solid opponents like this to smash before breaking into the rankings. UFC will get him to 9-0 or 10-0 before he fights someone that has an actual chance of beating him. Hard not to like a guy like Brundage who is game and brings his lunch pale to every fight but these guys aren't on the same level from a skill and athletic stand point. We don't really know what Nickals fight IQ is like because his career just started but it's a well established fact at this point that Brundage gets himself into a lot of trouble with the way he fights.

Procházka vs. Rakić
Jiří Procházka, DEC
Full disclosure: Jiri is one of my favorite fighters so this is a homer pick. Similar fight to Rakic/Oezdemir. Rakic will make this competitive but I think Jiri takes this fight on damage/aggression. Hard to trust Rakic in this spot against one of the best fighters in the division coming off this long injury layoff but he's a great fighter in his own right.

Kattar vs. Sterling
Aljamain Sterling, DEC
I've been on Aljo since the moment this fight was announced. Kattar is a solid fighter but is coming off an injury and is getting long in the tooth. I honestly think he's going to struggle with Aljos awkward style quite a bit. I think Aljo is very live for a sub here but I have to give Kattar a little respect. One reason I've been on Aljo since this fight was announced is because I've thought for awhile that he might be better off not cutting so much weight. He gives up a little size at 145 but he can make up for it with his wrestling and awkward style. I think he was giving up some of his natural strength and athletic ability cutting so much weight. Kattar can definitely box but he's also extremely hittable.

Holm vs. Harrison
Kayla Harrison, DEC
Kayla has a good chance at a finish here but I have a feeling she will fight conservatively with this being her first fight at 135. She's an extremely high level athlete so I have no doubt she's well prepared but Holly even at her age is dangerous. The strength difference here is gonna look crazy with how good we all know Holly is.

Yusuff vs. Lopes
Diego Lopes, DEC
I think Sodiq can avoid getting finished because he's a decent fighter but he's so uninspiring it's not even funny. I think Lopes will take a close one here with the judges because of his aggression. This guy is constantly trying to end the fight. Lopes' jiu jitsu is so absurd that it literally overshadows his striking, which is actually really good. Sodiq is like the power opposite. He would be a title contender if he had a single aggressive bone in his body, because skill wise he's really good.

Turner vs. Moicano
Jalin Turner, TKO, R2
Moicano has a crazy chin but he's probably gonna get smoked. Turner is gonna look scary here.

Andrade vs. Rodriguez
Jéssica Andrade, TKO, R2
Marina is an air puncher who can't wrestle. Andrade by however she wants.

Green vs. Miller
Jim Miller, TKO, R2
Before that Jalin Turner fight I probably take Bobby. I genuinely am concerned at the amount of damage he took that fight. I think Bobby might get a little reckless hunting for a bonus. I also just want Miller to win so maybe this is a homer pick.

Figueiredo vs. Garbrandt
Deiveson Figueiredo, SUB, R2
Light work; no pun intended.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 12 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 745 Points   |   Tied for 103rd

Pereira vs. Hill
Alex Pereira, TKO, R3  Confidence: Low
Both guys are so ******* scary and dangerous that this one is anyone's guess. All it takes is one shot from either of these guys and the other could be stiffened up on the canvas. I'm giving Pereira the slight edge here since Jamahal is coming off of a ruptured achilles. Pereira has some of the nastiest leg kicks in the game so if he targets that leg early it could get ugly quick. I do think Jamahal has the better chin of the two though so I won't be at all surprised if Pereira ends up being the one taking a nap.

Zhang vs. Yan
Weili Zhang, SUB, R2  Confidence: High
Zhang is the best in the world right now in women's MMA and though Yan is good she's just not on her level. Weili is going to take her down and do whatever she wants with her. I'm really confident Zhang finds the finish on the ground here, whether it's by SUB or ground and pound.

Gaethje vs. Holloway
Max Holloway, DEC  Confidence: Low
The odds on this fight have been ridiculous since day one. People look at that Poirier fight Max took all those years ago and just immediately write him off. This is a 50/50 fight that's going to pit Max's pressure, volume, and cardio against Gaethje's power. Both guys are tough as **** so I see this one going the distance no matter whose hand is raised at the end. Gaethje is 35 though and we all know the history of 35 year olds in title fights at 155lbs and below. This isn't a legitimate title fight, but the talent is on the level of a title fight, so it definitely applies here. Give me Max in a war for the ages.

Oliveira vs. Tsarukyan
Arman Tsarukyan, TKO, R2  Confidence: Medium
Charles is arguably the most dangerous guy at 155 or any weight class for that matter. All it takes is one mistake from Tsurukyan during a scramble and Charles could have him in a pretzel or snoring on the canvas, so Do Bronx is definitely a live dog. I think Tsurukyan gets this done though. Stylistically he's very similar to Islam who made quick work of Charles. He's got elite wrestling and top control. Once he gets you there he unleashes some hellacious ground and pound and punishes you for it. I think it's going to be competitive, but Charles is going to lay on his back and invite Tsurukyan into his guard at some point and that's going to be his downfall.

Nickal vs. Brundage
Bo Nickal, SUB, R1  Confidence: High
Bo Nickal by first round finish easily. Only question here is if it's by SUB or KO.

I'm not going to lie to you, at the time Pereira presented his sponsorship with Stake it was obvious that a Drake bet was coming in the near future. Maybe professional athletes in combat sports don't usually believe in curses, especially in something you can't control like a famous Whack feeling like he's being cool by making bets (which in 98% of cases fail) and decides to choose you to put a bet. .

I really hope we see Brudage have some moments. It would be interesting and informative to see how Bo reacts in situations where an opponent puts any form of pressure on him. Also, lets be real here, it would be extremely hilarious to see him lose. I like the guy, but the moment and the aftermath that would come from Brundage sleeping him would just be too golden.
