Prates is deserved to be a big favorite but idk about oki. Hes not gonna wrestle hadzovic so that already makes things harder than they need to be

Predictions: 2 of 3 Winners, 2 Perfect, 175 Points   |   Tied for 4594th

Hermansson vs. Pyfer
Joe Pyfer, TKO, R2
Pfyer fits the archetype of fighters that Jack loses to. Plus we haven't seen Jack in over a year. Pfyer trains with absolute killers and although we haven't seen him go past a couple rounds before I have no doubt he'll be conditioned to go long if needed.

Tavares vs. Rodrigues
Gregory Rodrigues, TKO, R3
Brad slowing down I think. Robocop can be a bit chinny, but Brad not the one to exploit that. Just think Robocop has more paths to victory here.

Lookboonmee vs. Brasil
Loma Lookboonmee, DEC
Brasil is not UFC level to me. She beat absolutely no one on the regional scene, then got fed atomweight Marnic Mann in DWCS who she knocked out to get signed to the UFC. We've all seen how bad Mann is - she got fed again to make Knuttson look good. In her debut, Brasil got knocked out against Denise Gomes, and then earned her first UFC win last time out against Shauna Bannon where she looked average. Brasil is very athletic and a good size for the division. She has pretty good footwork and moves laterally very well. Good speed on her kicks. That's about where my compliments end for her. She doesn't seem to have an actual gameplan when she's in there. She doesn't jab. She doesn't work the body with her boxing. She's fairly low volume IMO. Against Bannon she just waited to counter the entire fight which worked out in her favor. To me she's not yet proven she's UFC caliber. Loma on the otherhand is a pitbull. She's always the smaller girl, yet she's 5-2 in the UFC which can't be overlooked. Her only two losses are two Loopy and Angela Hill, two Top-15 fighers. At 28 she's still making a ton of improvements from fight to fight, non more evident than her grappling. Her Muy Thai is nasty. I think this fight plays out with her lighting Brasil up with her leg kicks and mixing in takedowns to a dominant 30-27 decision.

go watch Oki's fight against Melikyan. Oki will wrestle, but only when he's losing the striking exchanges. If he waits til then against Hadzovic it could be too late

@devinM oh I know I’ve seen it. I rate the guy he fought  very very low. He has a crazy record and decent kickboxing but is not a good mma fighter. Maybe he will wrestle against Hadozvic but I don’t see it

yeah Melikyan is bottom of the barrel by UFC standards and Oki had a pretty tough time with him. He looked like he's improved on the Contender Series, but this is a tough test for him. I definitely don't think he's just going to walk through Hadzovic.

@devinM yeah I think it’s relatively close. If hadzovic was like 34 and not 38 I would pick him but I think this is a passing of the garb

I was thinking the same think I haven’t since the odds on it, but I speculate that oki’s ko prob will be inflated a lot by his last performance. Could be value of Oki Dec, I’m thinking fight ends Round 3/ Dec will have value too. We will see when they drop

Hermansson vs. Pyfer
Joe Pyfer, TKO, R1
I like this fight and this matchup for Pyfer. He is a skilled grappler with heavy hands and the ability to finish the fight wherever it goes. The main knock on him is his strength of schedule. Hermansson has more experience against higher level fighters but hasnt faired too well lately. His chin doesnt hold up well against power strikers. Jack has some decent grappling and is pretty slick in his guard. His takedown accuracy is rather abysmal. I feel this will be a step up in competition for Pyfer, but nothing he shouldn't be able to handle. He doesnt have the highest strike volume but seems to do damage when he lands. I expect Pyfer to clip Hermansson early and get the KO.

"What an excellent day for combat."

Marcos vs. Aoriqileng
Daniel Marcos, DEC
Despite his controversial "win" over Davey Grant, Marcos is still a solid prospect. He's got slick boxing and I think he's a tier or two above Aoriqileng. Neither one of these guys is likely to have success with takedowns, and that plays perfectly into Marcos' hands. He is just going to outbox Aoriqileng to a dominant decision. A KO is in play, but Aoriqileng is pretty tough, so I wouldn't bet on it.

Amil vs. Garcia
Fernie Garcia, DEC
A clash of two trash cans. Amil's fight on the Contender Series looked like a competitive scrap between 2 guys who aren't UFC level. Garcia may be near the bottom of the barrel in the UFC, but he's still a step up in competition for Amil. This fight could go either way, but I'll take Garcia with a 29-28 UD. He should be able to outbox Amil to a DEC win and really start to pull away late as Amil gasses.

Fernie is actual garbage. I wouldn't be surprised if Amil knocks him out in the later rounds cause despite not having any skills, Amil is just a natural athlete and fighter

Clark vs Prachnio also has to be one of the worst light heavyweight matchups of all time between two guys in their prime. Clark is garbage but beats cans, and Prachnio is an okay kickboxer, but he doesn't really do that much but leg kick 90% of the time. He also mostly beats cans and sometimes even underperforms and loses to cans. It's just two dudes that should've been cut already, but the light heavyweight division is thin, and they both had their moments where they look UFC caliber, so they decided to keep both of them around
