BSD is one of those prospects that dumps early to try to get you out of there. That doesn't usually work when you get to the highest level. Dustin knows this and I bet it was him that wanted 5 rounds. If BSD doesn't get him out of there in the first 2 rounds Dustin can pour it on late and get the finish or take a DEC.

People heavily caught in the Benoit hype, the one time he didn’t fight a journeymen with the a 6/5 or 5/4 ufc record he was on the end of one of the worst beatings in UFC. Big stepup, if it goes to the later rounds DP most likely takes over unless that headkick did him in

I wouldn’t be surprise if Benoit St Dennis grappling work in this fight, Dustin hasn’t beaten any grappler, best grappler he beaten is either Hooker or Chandler, and both were getting multiple takedowns on him.

Benoit is a pretty good grappler and Dustin is getting older

That my point, Dan Hooker isn’t the best grappler, even if he an underrated one in my opinion. Benoit has to try and get his grappling going

And if Benoit St Dennis try and brawl with Dustin, Dustin has way cleaner boxing and that won’t go well

I think its 1 step to fast for st-Denis. He should have face Turner, hooker, Chandler or similar before. I dont think Poirier is done. I will have prefer Poirier vs Fiziev.

I think this is one of those fights that is good for both fighters. Poirier is likely past his prime and that headkick KO isn't going to help things. He needs a step back in competition to get his feet back under him and I think this is a winnable fight for him, especially being 5 rounds. For Benoit if he wins he jumps straight to the top of the division. If he loses he's still young, gains experience from fighting a vet like Poirier, and can make another run to the top.
