Patrick Nielsen Wiki

Patrick Nielsen is Danish professional boxer. He challenged for the WBA interim middlweight title in 2014, and is a regular headliner on Viasat's Nordic Fight Night cards. As of 2019 his pro boxing record stands at 29 - 3 with 14 wins by k.o / stoppage. 


Nielsen grew up in the Copenhagen suburb of Albertslund and began boxing at the age of ten. As an amateur, he won the light welterweight in 2007, among others, the Danish Cadet Championships and 2008 Scandinavian runner-of-junior. In 2009, he still won the bronze medal at the Danish Elite Welterweight Championships.  He is the older brother of Micki Nielsen, who is also a professional boxer. 

 
At the age of 18, he moved to the professional camp and joined Team Sauerland Promotions. He trains in Copenhagen and Berlin under Karsten Röwer and former world champion Joey Gamache. He won his professional debut on September 12, 2009 by k.o in the first round.
