Beatriz Mesquita Wiki

Beatriz Mesquita is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitor with arguably the best competitive record in both Gi and No-gi of all time having won 23 titles at black belt level in the 4 major Gi Championships. With 9x Gold medals, she holds the record for the most IBJJF World Championship titles at black belt level for women. She was born on the 7th of April 1991. Beatriz began training in 1996, aged five and received her brown belt in 2009 from her professor Leticia Ribeiro. In 2017 she defeated 2x World Jiu Jitsu black belt champion Mackenzie Dern in 64 seconds in the Rio Falls Jiu Jitsu open. Beatriz is currently 2nd degree black belt in BJJ. 


Some of her accomplishments are: 9x World Championship champion (Gi);  7x Pan-American championships champion (Gi);  4x European championships champion (Gi);  3x Brazilian Nationals champion (Gi);  5x World No-Gi Championship champion;  7x Brazilian Nationals No-Gi Championship champion;  1x Gold medal at 2017 ADCC Submission wrestling world championships in the 60 kg category.
