Jeff Smith Wiki

Jeff was born is Sarasota Florida and lived in several different parts of the state until the age of 12 when he moved to Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania where he lived for about a year.  After a year in Pennsylvania he moved to Wadsworth, Ohio where he would stay until he graduated high school. In Ohio is where Jeff wrestled for several years before deciding to put his focus on football.  After his senior year Jeff decided he had enough of football turning down several division 2 football offers.

Jeff then moved back to Mechanicsburg with his family where he took up an interest in MMA.  He had watched the TV show the Ultimate fighter and was hooked like many people. After several years of watching and being a fan of MMA he decided to take up the sport.  His New Years resolution in 2007 was to learn MMA; he went to Blackman MMA in Harrisburg, PA and quickly learned and excelled at the sport.  He won several grappling tournaments before his first ammy fight in Virginia. MMA was still not legal in PA so he traveled to Virginia often and amassed a 5-1 record holding two different featherweight titles.

In late 2009 Jeff made his pro debut in Philadelphia suffering his only professional loss. Since then he has ran his record to an impressive 11-2 with wins over several well known fighters in the region.  He was also a cast member of The Ultimate Fighter Season 15 that saw him lose a controversial decisions to Jeremy Larson from Arizona Combat Club.

Jeff looks to carve a path in MMA and become one of Central Pennsylvania’s best and most successful fighters.  Jeff was the head instructor at Blackman MMA.  However, in late 2012, Blackmann was closed down and in February of 2013, Jeff opened up his own gym called Unrivaled Athletics and is now not only the head coach of his team but also the owner.
